Pre-Kindergarten Program Expanding for 2008-09
Our preschool programs emphasize social, physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual development. All programs are unique and innovative, taught by extraordinary teachers who immerse your child in a multi-sensory- and literature-rich environment. Full Day Preschool is offered to children who may benefit from a full day of school.
 
Full Day Preschool children participate in hands-on, enriching learning centers that change from week to week. Full Day Preschool is offered year round from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Nutritious snacks and breakfast are provided. A hot lunch is available during the school year at an additional cost. This preschool program combines socialization and academics in a nurturing child-centered environment. 
 
Enrollment is available for 2, 3, or 5 days per week.

Community Preschool offers 2-1/2 hour morning and afternoon sessions two or three days per week. Excellent for children just beginning school or continuing their preschool experience, this program focuses on readiness skills needed for a lifetime of learning. Unique and exciting activities help keep your child's attention and let their young mind soak up important learning opportunities. 
 
MWF classes are from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM
T Th classes are from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM 

 
Reading Rhymes and Rhythm (RRR) is our distinctive three hour prekindergarten program for children who are in their last year of preschool. This program draws on many of the same learning experiences that were so fun in preschool but adds further interest and challenge. All curriculum areas are covered, from science to reading readiness. Your child doesn't need to know how to read to be in this class, but at the end of the year, don't be surprised if they can!  A perfect marriage of multi-sensory education and learning through music make this an exceptional Pre-Kindergarten program.  
 
RRR is offered on MTThF in the morning and afternoon

Preschool Gym
All preschool children participate in our specialized preschool gym program.  Physical fitness, beginning coordination, and an introduction to team building encompass every high energy class. Child centered activities, a varied preschool curriculum and fantastic activities disguise all the serious physical fitness and coordination that is acquired. Stretching, spacial awareness, and large muscle development are all a part of this class.
 
Teachers
The teachers at PCLC are extraordinarily talented. They are full of energy, personality, and fun. They come to PCLC with various experiences and degrees in either Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education. We believe that great programs start with great teachers. When they come to PCLC, they stay, too. Our turn over rate is extremely low.
 
Prerequisites
The only prerequisites for the programs are that your child is three years old and potty trained (with the exception of the Reading Rhymes and Rhythm class). We hope that one of our preschool programs sound like something you'd be interested in. We have an open-door policy at PCLC, so you are free to stop by anytime.
