Kindergarten
Information Night
Thursday, February 16, 6:30 p.m.
Parents of children entering Kindergarten are encouraged to attend to learn about Presentation’s new, full day Kindergarten program which will begin in the Fall of 2012. Parents will meet the principal, Kindergarten teacher, Reading/Math specialist and Learning Center director and hear about the Kindergarten program while children participate in learning activities.
Presentation School Welcomes New Long Term Substitute Teachers
Mrs. Mary Makowski
Mrs. Mary Makowski has been hired to teach Math. Mrs. Makowski taught middle school Math for several years at St. Therese School in Deephaven and most recently worked as the director of Mathnasium in Eagan. She has also worked as a scientist on the east coast where she originally hails from. She spends her free time volunteering at the Science Museum, Listening House and Help for the Homeless and enjoys biking, hiking and reading.
Ms. Laura Hoss
Ms. Laura Hoss has been hired to teach English/Literature. She most recently taught middle school Language Arts at Risen Christ School in Minneapolis. Ms. Hoss also has an MA in Theology and works as a catechist at St. Joseph’s Church in West St. Paul where she is very involved as a parishioner and volunteer. Earlier in her career, Ms. Hoss was a member of the Peace Corps and served in Niger, Africa.
