In our intermediate grades, students learn to communicate effectively by mastering the steps of the writing process; prewriting, drafting, revising, proofreading and publishing a completed product. Throughout these formative years, teachers coach students to grow in responsibility and independence. They challenge students to work to their full potential and to strive for academic excellence.
In these grade levels, students learn to develop work habits, strong social skills, and organizational abilities. These years are a time to nurture creativity and explore new concepts; a time to learn more about God and practice Catholic values.
Our teachers continually assess student progress, learning styles and social needs as well as lead parent/teacher/student conferences.
Students are taught to:
- Show respect for others
- Use strengths and gifts appropriately to enrich our community
- Demonstrate integrity
- Develop decision making skills
- Resolve conflict peacefully
