Presentation Welcomes New Principal
FROM THE PASTOR
It is a joy and a privilege to announce that Presentation has a new leader for its School: Mr. Michael Rogers. First, I want to thank the Principal Search Committee for their excellent work throughout this process, and I want to thank all the school parents and parishioners for their prayerful; support during an uncertain time.
In a suitable irony, St. Thomas More School, the place where our previous principal is headed, is providing us the replacement. Mr. Rogers comes highly recommended by the administration at St. Thomas More as an outstanding teacher and natural leader, possessing all the necessary qualities of an excellent school principal.
I am excited for all of you to get to know Mr. Rogers in due time. He officially begins his work on August 16th. Meantime, I have included a brief biography below.
I am certain you will come to understand how God, in his providence, has blessed us yet again!
Mr. Rogers is beginning as Principal of Presentation School in August 2011. Previously, he taught Middle School Social Studies at St. Thomas More in St. Paul for four years, and before that at St. Raymond High School for Boys in the Bronx, New York City for four years. At St. Thomas More, he was the middle School Team Leader and was also given responsibilities to develop new technology in the school (including the school’s website) and guide the development of the school’s Mission and Philosophy Statement. A graduate of Totino-Grace High School and North Dakota State University, he also completed a M.S. in Educational Leadership from Minnesota State University – Mankato. He has also worked as a Park Ranger at a variety of National Parks, and is a freelance photographer. He enjoys traveling, reading, music, and spending time with his family. He and his wife live in St. Paul and welcomed their first child in May of 2011.
