Presentation of Mary is relies on a wide range of liturgical ministries to keep our church looking great, masses and sacraments going smoothly, and ensuring our parishioners spiritual needs are met. Taking part in a ministry gives you the opportunity to grow deeper in faith while serving your church and getting to know more Presentation of Mary community members. Ministry Groups

Altar Servers

Those in 4th grade and older are invited to serve at the Lord’s Altar for weekday and Sunday Masses, funerals, and weddings. Rotating schedule. Training provided. Contact: Kay Mottaz 651-842-6022

Baptism Gown Sewers

Members follow a pattern and sew baptism gowns for infants when needed. Supplies provided. Contact: Karen Simons 651-779-2366

Candle Ministry

Members ensure the altar candles, votive stand candles, and confessional candles are changed out when needed. Contact: Chris Jacobson 651-747-7781

Church Cleaners

Members help clean and organize the church on Friday mornings after the morning Mass to prepare for the weekend. Contact: Jan Anderson 651-777-2372

Church Floor Cleaners

Members help clean the floors and rugs of the church each Monday morning beginning at 8:00 am. Contact: Pete Simons 651-779-2366

Environment Committee

Members help plan and prepare beautiful worship environments for our Eucharistic celebrations and liturgical seasons. Contact: Cathy Miettunen 651-748-1086

Eucharistic Adoration

Come spend time with Jesus in the Eucharist in our Divine Mercy Chapel. Adoration hours are Mondays through Fridays from 2:00 p.m. to Midnight. Commit to an hour (or more) each week. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Ministers help distribute the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and other liturgical services where Holy Communion is received. Contact: Joyce McCabe 651-249-4692

Lectors

Ministers proclaim the Word of God at daily Mass, Sunday Masses, and special liturgies throughout the year. Must be able to read and speak distinctly from the pulpit. Contact: Doug Cunnien 651-770-1773

Linen Ministry

Members help clean and maintain the linens that are used at each of the Masses. Rotating schedule. Contact: RoseLyn Worrel 651-770-6363

Livestream Helpers

Our Livestream Helpers support the Liturgy by videoing the Mass for those who are homebound and watch the Mass from home. We Livestream Sunday Mass & Holy Days of Obligation, as well as weekday Mass on Wednesdays & Fridays. If you can only help one of these times, that is perfectly fine. Training is provided, and there is a rotating schedule.

Prayer Line

Members keep in their prayers, whether at home, out and about, at church , in the chapel, etc, those who have requested for prayers to our parish. You will be placed on the Prayer Line Roster and notified when new prayer requests are made. Contact: Jo Kusz 651-771-7438

Prepare Couples for Marriage

Veteran married couples will meet with and converse with an engaged couple preparing for marriage. Will meet 3-4 times with the engaged couple prior to their celebration. Contact: Fr.  Peter Ly  651-842-6013

Sacristan

Ministers assist with the Mass by making sure the church is open for the people to come and celebrate and, after the celebration, to secure the church. They also prepare the liturgical items that will be used at the celebration of the Mass and ensure that those assigned to assist at the Mass are accounted for. Ministers may also assist in the distribution of Holy Communion during and after the Mass for the Homebound Ministers. Rotating schedule. Contact: Rick Bidwell 651-260-7032

Usher

Greet and bid farewell to families and visitors at church entrances, help assign gift bearers, count Mass attendance, collect the offertory, distribute bulletins, offer assistance, and maintain an orderly procession during Communion.
